Forester’s Wish
One of the things that I LOVE about the digital scrapbooking community is their generous hearts! Scrapbookers and designers frequently reach out to help each other during times of struggle.
I personally have felt the love and generosity of my fellow scrapbookers. When Shane was ill, some of my designer friends sent me coupons to their stores, just as a “Thinking of You” gesture. And my fellow design team members at Scrapbook Bytes blessed us with gift cards to shop with online. We purchased new study Bibles with them, and I frequently think of my sweet friend that organized it when I open my Bible.
Another way that the scrapping community helps others is through charity kits. Often these kits will benefit major charities, or individual causes. How it works is, designers get together, and working off of one color scheme, they all contribute to a MEGA digital kit. When sold, all of the money raised then goes to the charity.
I am telling you all this, because I just saw a kit that is for sale today at Shabby Pickle Designs. I read the story of the sweet little boy involved, Forester Bradburn, and it touched my heart.
20 designers from the digital community have gotten together to create a kit for Forester’s family. They are right now in Orlando, on Forester’s Make a Wish trip, so this kit has a Disney type theme, and has bright wonderful colors. It can be found here, at Shabby Pickle.
This kit also has a very special bonus. Not only are the 20 designers donating their designs for the kit for sale, but there will also be a freebie offered each day for several days if you stop by the blog, Forrester’s Wish.
So even if the digital kit is not in your budget right now, why not stop by the blog each day, and as you download the freebie, say a prayer for Forester and his sweet family.
